A Louis XVI ormolu and marble striking lyre clock, the annular white enamel Arabic dial with foliate cast bezels and pierced gilt arrow-head hands, visible motion work in the centre with polished steel calendar ring, the twin going barrel movement supported from the grid-iron knife-edge suspended pendulum, the pin-wheel escapement mounted on the back plate with fine regulation on the steel pallets and below on the crutch piece, the countwheel similarly mounted on the backplate and striking on a bell, the whole oscillating within the lyre frame with beading and trailing floral mounts and surmounted by a sunburst, supported on oval socle base with toupie feet
