A George III mahogany longcase clock, case on bracket feet, arched trunk door, the hood with swan-neck pediment and detached brass-capped columns, the dial signed Philip Polkinghorn Truro on the silvered chapter-ring with pierced brass hands, (later hour hand), the foliate engraved centre with subsidiary seconds and arched calendar aperture, foliate spandrels, the arch with cut-out for the later rocking figure of Father Time, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
