Lot Essay

Franz Iffland was a German sculptor working in Berlin in the late 19th century. He exhibited at the Berlin Academy and the Great Exhibitions of the 1890s, specialising in bronze statuettes inspired by Classical and Teutonic mythology, as well as genre groups and busts.
