Lot Essay

Etienne Henri Dumaige (d.1888) was born in Paris and studied under Jean Jaques Feuchère (d.1852). Exhibiting at the Salon between the years 1862 and 1867 he produced a large number of busts, groups and statues in marble, plaster and bronze.
