A COALPORT DARK-BLUE-GROUND 'JEWELLED' SHAPED SQUARE BASKET with a burnished gilt overhead loop handle, the exterior painted on each face with mountainous landscapes within seeded gilt octafoil cartouches bordered with fronds of gilt ivy enriched with turquoise, white and red 'jewels', the interior with a similarly decorated leaf medallion and border, green printed mark, pattern number 171, circa 1890
