A GILT-METAL-MOUNTED SÈVRES-PATTERN SLENDER OVIFORM VASE AND DOMED COVER, the pale-yellow body painted by Bernier with a maiden wearing flowing drapery, carrying a basket of flowers and with a dove perched on her right hand, floating among flowers in a mist, within a gilt scroll cartouche, the reverse with interlaced garlands of flowers suspended from scrolls, the dark-blue cover, neck and stem enriched with gilt scrolls and flowers, mounted with a pinecone finial, with bands cast with leaves on the rim, upper and lower body and foot, on a shaped-square footed base, signed, imitation blue interlaced L marks and Chateau de Tuileries mark, incised 41B, circa 1890
