A PAIR OF MEISSEN (OUTSIDE-DECORATED) BALUSTER POT-POURRI VASES, COVERS AND STANDS, the bodies applied in high relief on the fronts and reverses with large leafy garlands of flowers and fruit, each surrounding a painted bouquet, the swelling shoulders with two branch-moulded loop handles festooned with flowers, each vase applied with a cherub picking flowers from the garlands, on spreading scroll-moulded feet, one with a putto and the other with a maiden holding a basket of flowers, the covers pierced with scrolls and with large flower finials, one cover applied with meandering garlands, the other cover with similar but sparser floral decoration, on flowered shaped square scroll-moulded footed stands the rims and moulded details enriched in gilding (restoration to one cover, to one cherub's right foot, to some applied flowers and leaves and to part of scroll-moulded detail on stands, crack to one cover, chips to applied flowers), blue crossed swords marks with cancellations on stands, one vase with Pressnummer 39, one vase incised 2745, stands incised 605 and one with 79, painted numbers 22, circa 1860-1880
