HASUI (1883-1957): a group of 5 oban, the first, 26 x 38.5cm., Matsushima, Futagojima in the moonlight, dated Showa 8 (1933), the second, 26.6 x 39.5cm., depicting an evening view of Sakurada Gate, dated Showa 3 (1928), the third, 40.3 x 26.6cm., with Chion-in in Kyoto, Showa 8 (1933), the fourth, 39.5 x 27cm., depicting a bell tower in Okayama, dated Showa 22 (1947), the last, 39.8 x 26cm., with a road to Nikko lined with cryptomeria, all signed in brush Hasui, a small round seal of Watanabe--good impressions and colour, the first with slight surface scratches, otherwise good condition (5)
