The twelve-plate black lacquer Akoda nari helmet, remounted later with the neck guard (Hineno jikoro) of kiritsuke kozane laced with dark blue (kon ito) kebiki odoshi and edged with black bear fur (mostly missing), the crest (maedate) in the form of small kuwagata, 16th century; mempo of russet iron with a black lacquered throat guard (yodarekake) of kiritsuke kozane; nuinobe cuirass (do) of leather plates covered in silk and lacquered light brown with matching hip guards (kusazuri); medium shoulder guards (chu sode) of Mogami form, black lacquered and laced with mid blue sugake odoshi; armoured sleeves (kote) of russet iron chrysanthemum shaped plates set in mail on fore and upper arms, splashed with white bronze (sawari); thigh protectors (haidate) of black lacquered overlapping iron scales; and black lacquered shinguards (suneate) of Shino style, late 18th century
