Hinton, O.Impey "Flowers of Fire", Kakiemon Porcelain from the English Country House, 1989, No. 11. A similar vase is illustrated in Soame Jenyns Japanese Porcelain, Faber & Faber, London 1965, No. 54a, where it states that another piece in Japan is described as "probably by Kakiemon I", who died in 1666
