A CHINESE IVORY WORK-BOX, carved overall in relief with Chinoiserie scenes of courtly figures, pagodas, fishermen and warriors within a foliate-arabesque and bamboo border, the fitted interior with a removeable compartmented tray with numerous lidded compartments, spindles, thimbles and associated mother-of-pearl gaming-counters, the sides similarly carved and with lacquered-brass carrying-handles, above an ivory-lined frieze drawer and within a Greek-key fret border, on a bird's eye-maple and ebony stand with later perspex top and claw feet with label C.A.B.Q, early 19th Century
