(20.3cm.) diam., and A NISHAPUR TANG SPLASHED CONICAL POTTERY BOWL incised under the glaze with a central chequered roundel flanked by five similar around the rim within plain borders, the interstices filled with scrolling motifs, the centre of each roundel glazed ochre, the interstices glazed green, spotted with occasional manganese dots, 10th century (repaired) 7 5/8in.
