A FINE KIS GHIORDES RUG, the ivory field scattered with small leaf-motifs around an indigo and blackcurrant-red concentric hexagonal medallion containing angular floral sprays and arabesques, a stylised mosque-lamp above and below, the hooked sea-green spandrels with carnation flowerheads and serrated leaves, an aubergine panel above and below containing angular cloudband and serrated leafy vine, in an ivory border of small leaf-motifs around alternating sea-green and indigo hooked triangular panels containing angular flowering vine between ivory and chocolate-brown linked flowerhead stripes, 18th century (slight wear, very small repairs, slight loss to outer stripe)
