cover 1931-50, the extensive collection of covers addressed to Capt. Rentse or members of his family, principally comprising items from Malaya though also featuring covers sent from other countries; the items from Malaya (56) include many covers from Kelantan with several unstamped (some being Official invitations etc. from the Sultan), Arms and Chef frankings and two at the 2c. newspaper rate, B.M.A. frankings include use on Perak and Selangor 5c. stationery XU5, RAF Post c.d.s. and one from Pasir Mas with pen-cancelled Thai Occupation 1944 8c.; Australia (16 with one to Kelantan bearing M.P.U. 1c., 5c. and 15c.(8) Postage Dues); Ceylon (6), G.B. (6), India (20) and a few of indeterminate origin. The covers show a range of postal markings and cachets including F.P.O. and Army Signals c.d.s., "DELAY YOUR SPENDING", "SECRET" and "MOST SECRET". A fascinating lot for which viewing is essential.

Note: Capt. Rentse was a Danish serving Officer under secondment to the allied forces in South East Asia. His actual role remains uncertain though he almost certainly served in an unusual capacity as some of the items would indicate.
