Plate I, soft yellowish paper, lake strip of five [1-5] with margins in places (upper corners rounded), each clearly cancelled "28" (RRRR), showing manuscript "8" additionally tying the strip, and fine "PAID SHIP LETTER/CROWN/SYDNEY" oval d.s. in red, part despatch oval d.s. on flap; the front with a few minor faults though a very rare franking and the largest known multiple recorded on cover.
