The masonic jewel and collar of the 18th degree (Rose Croix) of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite was developed from the French Rite of Perfection of 25 degrees. It was then taken to the West Indies in the 1770s and from to the United States where it developed into the A. and A. S. Rite of 33 degrees
