Shell-shaped wood case, with silver clouté borders, the hinged cover set with engraved mother-of-pearl of similar form and with mirrored interior, containing a tray with implements including mother-of-pearl spools, gilt-metal mounted thimble, needle-cases, bodkin-case, steel-mounted scissors, picks and a cut-glass scent-phial, with four silk-lined compartments below, one contining the musical cylinder mechanism, under glass, apparently unmarked - 8½in. (21.5cm.) wide
