Circular, the cover with an oval enamel plaque depicting Cupid disarmed, with Venus and attendants in classical dress, within a black and white enamel border, against a blue chevron guilloché enamel ground, with black and white enamel and chased and engraved border of stylised foliage in semi-circles, the sides and base with similar decoration, marked with maker's initials inside the cover and base - 3½in. (8.9cm.) diam.
