Formed as a boar's head and painted in yellow with maroon and black details and white teeth and tusks, the cover painted in colours with a hunter spearing a boar from his horse in a wooded landscape with a pyramidal monument, gilt-metal mount, with painted inventory numbers inside the cover - 3in. (7.5cm.) long
