Shaped-oval, chased with a band of flutes and gadrooning and with detachable leaf-capped reeded lion's mask handle, engraved twice with a coat-of-arms, part marked on body and handle - 21in. (53.5cm.) long 123ozs. (3,854grs.)
The arms are those of Pennant quartering Dawkins quartering Yswittan Wyddell quartering Philip Phichdan quartering Gruffyd Lloyd quartering others impaling Bouverie for George Hay Dawkins Pennant Esq. (d.1840) and his second wife Elizabeth (d.1859), elder daughter of The Hon. William Henry Bouverie, whom he married on 4th May 1814.
