Oval and on four scroll bracket feet and with reeded rim, bright-cut engraved with bands of wriggle-work and ribbon-tied foliage swags, later engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on reverse - 22¾in. (60.5cm.) long

The arms are those of Murphy of Mount Merrion, Kilbrew, Co. Meath
