Of plain octagonal vase form and on spreading foot and with pierced covers and baluster finial, the covers fitted with sleeves, each engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked under base, the covers unmarked - 6¼in. (15.5cm.) high

The arms are those of Sutton, probably for The Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Sutton P.C., K.B. (1671-1746), Ambassador to Holland, Constantinople and Paris and M.P. for Nottingham, whom later married in 1724, Judith (d.1749), widow of the 3rd Earl of Sunderland, daughter and co-heir of Benjamin Tichbourne (2)
