Oblong, painted and gilt in the chinoiserie style, the hinged cover with a moulded scene of a lady fishing and a man beside her with a keep-net, a tree and a fortress in the background, the sides with foliate scrolls and floral decoration, marked inside cover and inscribed 'Croquis chinois'
