Album of forty-eight hand-tinted albumen prints, approx. 8 x 10¼in., including a three-part panorama, 8½ x 30¼in., majority titled with six numbered in the negatives, four titled in ink on mounts, half morocco, ruled in gilt, oblong 4to.; with an album of twenty-six albumen prints, thirteen hand-tinted and twenty-two gelatin silver prints, 2½ x 4½in., sixteen numbered or titled in the negatives, half morocco, ruled in gilt, g.e., oblong 4to.; and with an album of twenty-four hand-tinted albumen prints, approx. 7¾ x 9¾ in. or the reverse, the majority numbered and titled in the negatives, tissue guards, red lacquer boards with floral design, inset panel in black depicting chrysanthemum blossoms and a bird, ivory and mother-of-pearl onlay, g.e., oblong 4to. Lot Essay

The former includes views of Kyoto, Mogi, Unzen, Miyajima, Taki-No-Kwannon, Osuwa Park, Yaami Hotel, Lake Biwa, Enoshima, Nikko, Jinka Kujii, the Katsura-Gawa Rapids and a panoramic view of Nagasaki Harbour; the second includes fifteen views of Japan, seven of China with two of Canton and others of Greece.
