Jane was the third daughter of Peter Brooke and his second wife Elizabeth, daughter of Jonas Langford of Theobalds and Antiqua, and the sister of Jonas Langford Brooke. She married first, on 22 August 1785, William Hulton of Hulton Park, Lancashire; she married secondly William Tyvell Boyce
