Oblong 2° (264 x 370mm.) Engraved title, dedication to Doge Luigi Mocenigo dated 27 May 1703, and 103 numbered etched views by Carlevaris. Contemporary mottled calf (rebacked and restored). Provenance: Sir William Beauchamp Proctor (armorial bookplate); Fritz Gebhard (bookpate).
Third edition with the plates numbered 1-103, (102 and 103 numbered on the left). The first edition, with the imprint of G.B. Finazzi, was published in 1703, with 100 plates. It was a great success, and the number of plates was gradually increased with each succeding edition. Cf. Berlin Kat. 2682 (100 plates); Succi, Da Carlevarijs ai Tiepolo p. 112 and nos 98-217.
