2 works in one volume, oblong 2° (265 x 408mm). The first work with hand-coloured engraved plan and 15 hand-coloured plates by D. Moretti. (Some light spotting, old light dampstaining affecting plate nos. IX-XIII, last text leaf with repair to inner blank margin.); The second work with engraved hand-coloured plan and 47 hand-coloured plates by Moretti. (Lacking title and preliminaries, repairs to lower blank margins of three plates, some spotting and light soiling, second text leaf crudely repaired, the first torn at inner margin.) Modern half calf gilt (a trifle rubbed).
The plates of this attractive series could be formed into three almost continuous panoramas of St. Mark's Square and both sides of the Grand Canal, with the buildings, and occasionally the owners, identified beneath. Sold, as a collection of plates, not subject to return.
