Letterpress titles in red and black, 2pp. letterpress index in vol.I. 112 engraved plates on 113 leaves by Zucchi, Carlevaris, Vasconi and others after Tiepolo, Manaigo, Valeriani and others, one folding, one on two leaves. (Small tear to upper blank margin of 57th plate, most plates showing light vertical crease of old central fold.) Modern green half calf, red morocco labels.
Fine impressions with wide margins of these grand Venetian views. The first colume contains the vedute (65 views on 66 leaves), the second volume the pitture (57 plates). The present copy is probably a later issue and includes eight more plates in volume II, all called for by the index, than are normally encountered. The work was probably produced under the direction of Andrea Zucchi (1655-1731), with contributions from Vasconi, Luca Carlevaris (1655-1731) and others. This copy is bound as an oblong folio. Cf.
