The following eight lots pertain to Fred Harvey, a well known comedian working the Northern music hall circuit during the early 1880's. Six of the items are addressed to Harvey at various venues, the remaining two being sent by him. All show attractive watercolour designs relating to Harvey's performances.
cover 1881 (15 Sept.) envelope depicting man wearing sandwich board (containing addressee's name and address - apparently sent by Fred Harvey to a music hall in Sunderland) parading outside theatre with flyposters advertising upcoming events, bearing 1881 1d. tied by "NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE" duplex; vertical crease and trace of soiling do not detract.
