cover 1855-56, eight envelopes (mostly with original contents including some fascinating peiod detail) from the Crimea to England, seven of the items bearing three examples of the 1d. stars (three being cancelled on arrival in London, four being with the star between cyphers cancellation - two of these struck in deep blue-green), the other item bearing a single 1d. stars cancelled on arrival in Marlborough and showing manuscript "3" due marking which is crossed through and does not appear to have been collected, all items show the "BRITISH ARMY/POST OFFICE" c.d.s. on reverse; two or three stamps defective, mostly good to fine
