AN URBINO ISTORIATO DISH of Cardinal's hat form, painted in the manner of the Milan Marsayas painter, with a scribe in a flowing yellow cloak seated on rockwork beneath a stone arch beside a tall tree with grey-green leaves and flanked by a satyr scantily draped and holding a blue sword in his raised left hand and by a devil scantily draped in blue wearing a leopard's mask (two small pieces broken at rim at 3 o'clock and restuck with small area of loss to surface, crack to rim at 4 o'clock, small repaired rim chip and associated crack at 8 o'clock, some minor rim flaking), circa 1535
