The rectangular silver gilt case with chased and engraved floral decoration containing panels of painted floral sprays and swags on blue background, on decorative block feet, the oval lid with painted enamel scene of a couple in a landscape, watch set to the front with guilloche enamel dial and Arabic numerals, the bird operated by a slide flapping its wings, wagging its tail, opening its beak and rotating on its axis, the mechanism wound from a folding key in the base
