The XXIXth of JULY 1664
REC'D UPON AN ORDER of the XXIIIIth day of March 1662 by VERTUE of his MAJESTIES' Office of PRIVY SEALE dated the X FEBR last of Laur Squibs Esq, one of the Tellers of his Magesties Receipt of Exchquer, by me Edward East his Majesties watchmaker. Recd. the sum of forty pound in particular of an Order of five hundred & twenty pounds in full satisfaction, a discharge of a debt due, owing to me from his Majesty for the making and mending of Clocks, Watches & Alarms & other works for His Majesties Service according to a bill of the particulars given in by me the said Edward East & allowed by his Majesty. I say recd. by me - forty pounds
