A George II ebonised bracket timepiece, the case on block feet with glazed sides and pierced wood quarter frets to the front and rear doors, foliate cast carrying handle to the inverted bell top, the dial signed James Snelling London on a silvered disc in the arch, silvered chapter ring with pierced blued hands, the matted centre with false pendulum aperture and calendar square (now blocked) the five pillar (centre pillar latched) movement with single gut fusee, later anchor escapement, lacking pull quarter repeat system, later securing brackets and lacking seat board
