A PAIR OF COALPORT BRIGHT-BLUE-GROUND VASES of rococo-moulded two-handled baluster form, painted with birds among reeds within relief-moulded white and gilt scroll cartouches, applied in high relief with large flower-heads above gadroon-moulded lower bodies and below rims similarly moulded with white and gilt scrolls and feuilles-de-choux, the grounds gilt with scattered bouquets, on scroll-moulded spreading circular feet similarly painted with vignettes of birds (small chips to petals and leaves, minute flakes to painted enamels), circa 1830
