A WEDGWOOD MAJOLICA SHELL-MOULDED JUG of flattened baluster form, the dark-blue ground moulded in high relief on each side with a white ??? shell enriched in pink, the yellow leaf-moulded handle with a coiled terminal issuing leaves, the lip moulded with a sprig of berried ivy above leaves and weeds and on a leaf-moulded spreading foot, with yellow line rims and a turquoise interior (glaze chips to handle and rim, chip and associated hairline crack to lip, very slight wear to glaze), impressed mark, blue pattern number 821, circa 1875
