A MEISSEN CIRCULAR TUREEN AND DOMED COVER, the finial modelled as a girl wearing pink drapery and scattering fruit from an upturned cornucopia, the tureen and cover painted on the front in a soft palette with Watteauesque scenes of musicians and companions at leisure in woodland landscapes, the reverses with large bouquets of garden flowers and with scattered sprigs, within gilt line, scroll and foliage rims (minute chips to leaves of fruit), blue crossed swords mark, incised 13, circa 1880
