A MEISSEN CLOCK-CASE of rococo-scroll-moulded form, surmounted by a girl seated holding a flower-garland, the face inset with the movement, flanked by moulded scrolls and garlands of flowers applied in high relief, the sides pierced with panels of diaper-pattern, resting on a rocky base modelled with three figures wearing striped and flowered dress including a lady holding a flower-garland, a girl with a basket of fruit and a boy playing the clarinet, above a band of white, pink and gilt moulded scrolls (chips to applied flowers and to one scroll), blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 163, incised No: 572., circa 1880
