Robert Graham was one of five American sculptors commissioned to execute work for installation in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial; dedicated on May 2, 1997. This relief is the artist's proof for one of the panels referring to labor, a cause which F.D.R. championed. These are the only two casts known to exist.
