Lot Essay

A pair of vases in the Kulturen, Lund, are mounted with dragons of this distinctive boldly chased type. A pair of celadon vases with some of the same nmounts as the Lund pair were sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 10 December 1992, lot 28. The mounts on both pairs are dated to the early 19th Century.
