Maker's mark of Francis Boone Thomas, London, 1886
Each with flat oval dish with slightly flaring openwork broad border, on partly fluted and openwork oval pedestal base, the ground engraved with coat-of-arms, crest and motto, the outer ground engraved with broad band of exotic birds flanking flower filled baskets, the border openwork with further birds, turtles, moths, flowers and foliage with varying putti at intervals, with slightly wavy rim--15in.
