Conceived circa 1895 and cast in bronze between 1919 and 1921 in an edition of twenty-two, numbered from A to T plus two casts reserved for Degas' heirs

Herbert Jerichow, Copenhagen, by whom purchased circa 1959, thence by descent to the present owner
