Large 4° (335 x 248mm). Colour-printed stipple-engraved portrait frontispiece and 5 plates by Colibert, Casenave, and Clément after N. Monsiau, all 'avant les numéros des pages', all but the frontispiece and the third plate 'avant lettres'. (Occasional light spotting, particularly to the third plate.) Contemporary French marbled calf gilt, the flat-backed spine with two onlaid red morocco lettering-pieces, g.e., slip-case. A FINE LARGE COPY. Cohen-de Ricci 436.
