Roman types 3:108 (text) and 1:82A (commentary), 60 lines of commentary surrounding varying numbers of lines of text. White-on-black woodcut floral initials. Woodcut on title showing the poet and his commentators at work with cupboards full of codices. (Some worming and staining.) Old vellum binding.

The right-hand compartment of the title-cut is movable. In Tacuinus's Juvenal, finished not much more than a fortnight before this Persius, the same block appears showing two commentators; here it shows a single commentator and an extra open cupboard of books.
