A FINE FANG MALE RELIQUARY FIGURE, nlo byéri, standing with arms carved free of the body and the hands placed each side of the protuberant navel, grooved spine, short legs below the wide rounded hips, the face with three incised lines on the forehead, stippled over the eyes to resemble lashes, small teeth incised in the jutting mouth, the coiffure dressed in three low ridges falling to the nape of the neck, cylindrical retaining stick, glossy black patina, minor damages and repairs, from the Fang-Ntumu, Woleu and Ntem rivers
