Maker's mark of Wm. Peaston, London, 1745
Shaped circular, on three double-scroll supports, engraved with coat-of-arms within large asymmetrical cartouche enclosed by rocaille, foliate scrolls and terminating in floral festoons, topped by two crests, with motto below, with molded border, with shell and scroll rim--11¾in. (29.84cm.) wide, 26.5oz.
