A preparatory drawing with some differences for the altarpiece now in the Palazzo Pepoli, Bologna, M.T. Cantaro, Lavinia Fontana bolognese, Milan, 1989, p. 140, illustrated. Maria Teresa Cantaro believes the picture to be the one mentioned by Malvasia in the Baldi Chapel in San Bernardino, Bologna. Mazza published the painting and this drawing as Calvaert
