The inscription on the drawing may refer to Nathalie-Elma Renaud (1798-1872), who studied with Redouté and exhibited watercolours of flowers at the 1822 and 1827 Paris Salon. As the present drawing is very much in the style of Redouté, it may well be by her although a watercolour in the Fitzwilliam Museum is not signed in the same way, E.
