Deep hemispherical, the trumpet form base applied four times with Classical portrait medallion, bordered by tongue-and-dart and tied reeded band above, the lower body engraved with radiating palmettes, the sides finely engraved with mining, logging and foundry, within coniferous forest, centering vacant cartouche, with traces of engraving PRESENTED TO .......BY THE RICHMOND IRONWORKS with applied tied reeded rim, with two Classical warrior caryatid handles--14in. (35.56cm.) diam., 10¼in. (26.03cm.) high, 94oz.
