A GREEK GEOMETRIC POTTERY AMPHORA, the short cylindrical neck with wide round mouth, the shoulder with twin double-handles each in the form of a stylized horned ram's head decorated with black painted spots, the main body with two panels on either side each containing a hatched four-petalled rosette, encircling lines and a band of zigzag below, the neck with encircling lines and bands of dots, cross-hatched and hatched triangles and plain zigzag, the lower body with wide black bands, the interior black-glazed, circa 8th Century B.C.
